Gwinnett becomes first metro Atlanta gold-tier BioReady® community
At a recent Board of Commissioners meeting, Gwinnett County received a plaque for achieving gold status as a BioReady® community from Georgia Bio, the state’s leading life sciences membership organization. The BioReady® program rates communities in three tiers: Bronze, Silver and Gold. These ratings assess a municipality’s readiness to host biotechnology facilities based on zoning practices and infrastructure capacity, helping real estate developers and biotechnology companies find the most favorable destinations to locate.
Gwinnett is committed to fostering the biotech sector and aims to remain an ideal hub for life sciences research and development.

Property tax bills coming in August
Property tax bills should arrive in your mailbox by mid-August. Even if you sold a property this year, you will still receive a tax bill, as required by law. This is because taxes are calculated based on the ownership status on January 1, and the owner at that time is responsible for the full amount. Typically, taxes are paid on time and the responsibility transfers seamlessly to the new owners. If not, sellers may be named in tax liens placed on the property. For more information, visit GwinnettTaxCommissioner.com/Property-Tax.
