January 2025

Hello L. David,

Kick off the new year with a calendar filled with winter festivities! From art classes and kids’ nights to line dancing and swimming lessons, there's something for everyone to enjoy all month long.

Join hands for a day of service!

As we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., join us for a day of service and unity. On Monday, January 20, volunteers of all ages will lend a helping hand to serve our community for the Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service. From outdoor cleanups to preparing home-delivered meals to our seniors, there numerous ways to contribute to making a positive impact in Gwinnett. To volunteer, visit VolunteerGwinnett.net.

This annual observance on the third Monday of January encourages everyone to give back by taking active steps toward a world of social justice and equity that Dr. King envisioned. Designated a federal holiday in 1983 and a national day of service in 1994, Martin Luther King Jr. Day continues to make an impact as more Americans embrace the idea that citizenship involves taking an active role in improving communities.
