Handling household hazardous waste properly
Household hazardous waste is a category of products considered to be corrosive, reactive, ignitable, or toxic. Many common household items such as lightbulbs, pesticides, paint, and batteries are considered HHW. When handling, never dump HHW into a storm drain, only buy as much as you need, and look for drop-off locations in your community like Gwinnett's HHW collection events.
By disposing of HHW properly, w e can all work to protect our water resources. To learn more about protecting our waterways, visit Gwinnetth2o.com/GetEducated.
